Owner and Personal Trainer- Meg Stickl

Meg grew up in the Ottawa area and started working with seniors at the early age of 12 when she volunteered at a long-term care facility.

She continued volunteering with seniors though out high school and university studying Psychology and Gerontology at the University of Ottawa in order to pursue a career working with older adults.


After graduating university, she worked at a retirement residence as the recreation manager and worked at a senior centre instructing exercise classes.


She has 13 years of experience working in fitness as an Aqua Fitness Instructor and Group Fitness Instructor.


She started A.I.M. Fitness - Activities In Motion in September 2013.


She is a CanFitPro certified Personal Trainer, Older Adult Specialized Land Instructor and Aquafitness Instructor with WaterArt Fitness International.


Meg is passionate about connecting with her clients, serving families, and growing her team. She is excited to be expanding A.I.M. Fitness to serve more seniors and adults in the Ottawa area! 

Personal Trainer- Michelle Bourdeau-Halverson


Michelle grew up right here in Ottawa, and has always been active. From the age of 3, she competed in dance, until she found her true passion in sports.  Throughout Elementary School and High School she was active in many sports including track and field, soccer and field hockey.  Outdoor activities still remain her passion within her daily life. She snowboards every possible weekend, enjoys snowshoeing and swims. She was a life guard for several years.


Michelle left Ottawa to pursue a post-secondary education in Geology, graduated and worked in Toronto for many years as a Radar Technician. After returning home to Ottawa with her husband and two children, fitness became her new focus.


She started working at the Ottawa Hospital in 2010 at the Rehabilitation Centre.  She assists and motivates a wide variety of people having physical and cognitive restrictions caused by personal injury, heart attacks, strokes and other disorders.  With her assistance, these people have achieved greater physical abilities and a healthier life.


She is YMCA Certified in Personal Training, ICC Trainer, and Aqua-fitness Instructor. She has been working with the YMCA since 2008, The City of Ottawa since 2009 and other private clubs since 2010. 


She is now happy to be a part of the A.I.M. Fitness team!

She looks forward to helping others achieve a better, healthier and happier life!

Personal Trainer- Zarina Grundy

Zarina grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She moved to Ottawa in 2006 where she began to pursue a new career change. She later married and is now a mother of 2 young children.

She has a background in Physiotherapy Assistant and has over 5 years of experience working with seniors and helping them with pre/post surgeries.

She is also Can Fit Pro Certified as well as Heart Wise Certified to be able to help those clients coming out of the Ottawa Heart Institute.

Zarina’s passion is to keep helping her clients with any and all mobility issues and also when she is at home she LOVES to cook!


She is happy to be a part of A.I.M. Fitness!

Sales & Customer Relations- Laura Samborsky 

Laura grew up in Montreal, and came to Ottawa at the age of 12. She was into dance as a child, taking ballet, hip hop and line dancing. She discovered of love of all things gym related after taking a weightroom course in highschool. Her passion for fitness grew but had been put on the back burner while she was a stay at home mom for her 2 children.


She started working at a gym in 2015 in sales and marketing. There she learned how much she truly wanted to help people reach their goals and live healthier lives! Since then she became a certified Zumba instructor, and plans on teaching other classes as well!


Laura loves to cycle all year round, both on the bike path with her road bike and on the trails with her fatbike. Snowshoeing and hiking and nature walks as much as she can too! She likes to bring along her 2 dogs. Laura has a passion for nutrition as well and loves to share healthy recipes. 


Laura used to volunteer with the seniors at her church, now that she is a part of the A.I.M. fitness team, she is excited to help seniors even more! 

Personal Trainer- Andrew Gill

Andrew has been working in the fitness industry for over 25 years. He loves participating in sports and fitness activities and enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals.


He practices what he preaches and motivates individuals to make exercise enjoyable as well as a lifelong passion.


He has worked with people of all ages and abilities and he has gained valuable experience in working with older adults.
